About The Position

Lehigh Valley Academy is seeking motivated, energetic cheerleading coaches to lead and support our middle and high school cheer teams for the 2026–2027 school year. The cheerleading season runs from August through March and includes participation at school events, athletic games, and spirit-building activities. Coaches will be responsible for teaching fundamental cheer techniques, promoting teamwork and school spirit, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for all athletes. The ideal candidates will have experience in cheerleading instruction, choreography, and sideline performance preparation.

Requirements

• Prior experience in cheerleading (coaching or team participation) preferred
• Knowledge of cheer safety standards and best practices
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to promote teamwork, discipline, and positive student engagement
• Must complete all PA Department of Education background clearances

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cheerleading instruction
• Experience in choreography
• Experience in sideline performance preparation

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with practices, performances, and team coordination for designated level (MS or HS)
• Teach cheer techniques, chants, routines, and safe stunting practices
• Support team participation at games, pep rallies, and school spirit events
• Foster positive team culture, student engagement, and respect
• Collaborate with school administrators, athletic staff, and families
• Maintain safety protocols and compliance with school policies and regulations
• Attend all practices, games, and scheduled events throughout the season
