The Head Coach is a key individual in the MCAS athletic program, responsible for promoting the highest type of conduct from each athlete. This role involves overseeing the total sport program, K-12, with the assistance of other coaches and providing guidance to all coaching staff. The coach will communicate with the Athletic Director, organize, plan, and coach all activities and practices, and attend required Athletic Department, DAC, and IHSAA meetings. Additionally, the coach will manage all necessary documentation regarding athlete eligibility and safety, complete the IHSAA/NFHS coach certification program, monitor academic performance, and lead fundraising efforts for the sport program. The coach will also assume other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Principal for the improvement of the program, ensuring athlete supervision at all times, and accountability for all equipment and uniforms.
