About The Position

Calvary Chapel Schools (CCS) was established to meet the educational, social, and spiritual needs of the children of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. CCS is a ministry of CCCM, building up Christian leaders in mind, body, and soul through Biblical truth, character development, and strong academic pursuits, enabling students to serve and enjoy Christ and their community. Calvary Chapel High School, a Christ-centered private high school, seeks a passionate and knowledgeable Head Coach to lead our Cheer program. Our Cheer program is active for two seasons during the school year, and is offered on a season by season basis. The ideal candidate is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the mats, integrating faith and character formation with competitive excellence.

Requirements

Demonstrated success coaching cheer at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Commitment to discipleship and mentoring student-athletes.

Responsibilities

Model a growing relationship with Christ; lead prayer and team devotions.
Build a healthy, competitive team culture focused on character, teamwork, and perseverance.
Plan and lead practices, manage game strategy, and mentor athletes.
Manage team budget.
Communicate clearly with players, parents, and staff.
Organize all aspects of the season, including tournaments, facilities, and logistics.
Uphold school policies and student-athlete safety.
