About The Position

This position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality. The role involves pulling orders, counting, loading, and unloading product on incoming and outgoing trailers according to the shipping schedule. It also includes ensuring that product received from production or other plants is recorded correctly, loading and unloading to the appropriate distribution area to meet shipping schedules, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area. The position requires compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules, and performance of other duties as assigned by management. This includes fulfilling work schedules, adhering to attendance policies, and other operating rules. The role also requires compliance with EEO, Harassment, Safety, and Sarbanes Oxley policies. Physically, the role requires the capability for movement to all Shipping areas, the ability to exert force to move wheeled equipment weighing up to 400 lbs for 100 feet, and the ability to routinely stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing up to 20 lbs. Additionally, the ability to wear and use approved safety equipment and meet/maintain food handling requirements for public safety in a food production environment is necessary. Basic mathematical computations are also required.

Responsibilities

Pulls orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming and outgoing trailers according to the shipping schedule.
Ensures that product received from production or other plants is recorded correctly.
Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met.
Maintains cleanliness of work area.
Practice and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
Physically capable of movement to all Shipping areas.
Ability to exert force necessary to move wheeled equipment weighing (400 lbs), at a distance of (100) feet.
Ability to routinely stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing (20 lbs).
Ability to wear and use approved, applicable safety equipment, as needed.
Must meet/maintain FDC and CDC food handling requirements on public safety for work in a food production environment.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
