This position is responsible for inspecting containers for proper weight control, ensuring weights are within acceptable parameters, and adjusting as necessary. The operator will also be responsible for shutting down the line if weights exceed maximum limits, reporting issues to management, and assisting filler operators with various tasks. Additionally, the role involves completing paperwork, maintaining supplies, monitoring closure quality, communicating with other operators, checking cap and glass quality, tracking discarded jars and inventory, reporting maintenance issues, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The operator will use scanners and thin client units for SAP transactions, perform sanitation tasks, handle cleaning chemicals safely, maintain a clean work environment, change product codes on the x-ray machine, operate a forklift, and assist in training new operators. The role requires functioning effectively in a team-based structure and performing other duties as assigned.
