About The Position

TransX has an exciting opportunity for a Check-In Clerk in our organization. The Check-In Clerk is an entry-level position that plays an active role in the accuracy and timely confirmation of driver manifest, validating the dispatch system, and ensuring drivers are compliant. Being the first point of contact for Drivers and Brokers, the check-in team handles duties ranging from clerical to basic dispatching and planning. Our Mission is to become the industry leader of the driver experience. We consider the driver to be the front line of our company. We strive to be consistently surpassing driver expectations by supporting all drivers in successfully meeting utilization targets while honoring home time. Our fleet team will be satisfied once our drivers have successfully met their full potential.

Requirements

  • Bilingual preferably English and French
  • Related work experience – Preferred
  • Transportation industry experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking with keen ability to prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Passion for customer service
  • Computer literate & proficient
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma – Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Validate drivers manifest against dispatch entries, correct when necessary
  • Enter orders into the computer system
  • Process check-in paperwork (POD’s and BOL’s) and the details thereof
  • Take Broker call-in information and update trip ETA's
  • Front line communications with Drivers that need assistance
  • Create and review border crossing documents and notifications
  • Security Compliance – responsible for driver validation protocol
  • Scanning documents
