Requirements

  • Class 3 driver's license
  • Minimum of one year of driving experience with training from a recognized driving school or 3 years of driving experience
  • High school diploma (DES) or equivalent experience
  • Clean driving record (record must be readily accessible to be presented upon request)
  • Ability to handle and lift goods up to 60 lbs
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the gas or welding industry
  • Experience using handheld electronic devices
  • WHMIS/TDG certification

Responsibilities

  • Make multiple deliveries (requiring loading and unloading of cylinders) per day (5 or 10-ton truck) of gas and equipment products to local customers within the assigned geographic area
  • Balance cylinder load sheets and daily cylinder logs
  • Perform some administrative tasks, including the use of handheld technology to process deliveries and reconcile consignment stock balances with agents
  • Comply with all government regulations
  • Maintain vehicles in accordance with company policy, adhere to safety requirements, wear safety equipment, and report hazards to the supervisor
