About The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Charter Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily transit operations. The Charter Specialist must have a strong understanding of administrative processes and demonstrate the ability to work across multiple computer platforms, including internal reporting tools, and scheduling software. This position is well-suited for a highly organized, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational setting and enjoys balancing customer service with operational problem-solving.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other standard software tools used for reporting, scheduling, and communication
  • Clear and current criminal record check
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with the ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to relay information clearly and accurately
  • Well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, ability to work on your own, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact professionally with clients, staff, and external partners

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing customer service and operational support to drivers, acting as a central point of communication to resolve service-related issues efficiently
  • Coordinate charter bookings and respond to customer inquiries by preparing accurate quotes, scheduling vehicles and drivers, confirming service details and invoicing
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager to support the smooth operation of daily transportation services
