About The Position

The Charge RN leads and coordinates patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices in alignment with established standards. The role serves as a clinical resource and supports high-quality patient outcomes. The Charge Nurse provides patient care while leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes. This is a full-time, day-shift position on Med 3. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to full-time RNs with at least one year of experience; no contract is required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Administer treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support positive outcomes.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Lead daily operations by coordinating staffing, assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
