Requirements

  • Associate Of Nursing (ADN), Diploma or foreign equivalent
  • Two (2) years RN experience with in applicable clinical specialty
  • Registered Nurse: AZ or compact state license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Of Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience
  • Previous experience with personal computers

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients.
  • Advocate for fellow nurses, supporting them in reaching their full potential, aligning with department's operational goals and objectives.
  • Leverage specialized expertise to provide rapid, individualized, comprehensive care, making swift and critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing urgent patient care plans for patients of all ages, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
  • Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, and support staff, contributing to a high-pressure, yet highly rewarding, environment focused on immediate stabilization and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), and participation in inservice education.
  • Provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
  • Evaluate care given by staff.
  • Coach staff to improve care.
  • Ensure standard of care is maintained.
  • Exhibit a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and understands and coordinates the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult.
