About The Position

Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a RN nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse: NE
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 - months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 5 - months
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes

Responsibilities

  • Supports staffing, scheduling, staff development, certification tracking, and performance management activities.
  • Assists with budget goals, payroll monitoring, and responsible resource utilization.
  • Promotes departmental goals, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, staff communication, education, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains clinical expertise, serves as a specialty resource, and models professional and clinical excellence while ensuring quality patient care.
