Requirements

• Associate of Nursing, Diploma, or foreign equivalent
• Registered Nurse: AZ or compact state license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
• Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty
• Previous experience with personal computers

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Of Science in Nursing
• Previous Charge Nurse experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients.
• Advocate for fellow nurses and support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with department's operational goals and objectives.
• Provide oversight of the activities on the nursing unit during a specific shift, serving as a resource to staff, directing patient flow, assuring appropriate utilization of resources, and providing oversight for the provision of quality care.
• Mentor others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education.
• Provide direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department.
• Evaluate care given by staff and coach to improve care.
• Ensure standard of care is maintained.
