About The Position
As a nurse, you will focus on responding to others priorities regarding safety, physical and psychological needs while paying close attention to maintenance of comfort and human emotion during health and illness, while providing safe patient care. The charge nurse role will support and actively participate in shared governance/councils which is THR’s structure for decision making. This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- A high degree of confidentiality
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is preferred
