About The Position

Armor Health is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to support patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. The role coordinates daily unit activities, helps ensure physician orders are implemented and patient encounters are documented, and provides direct nursing care and consultation. The Charge RN also supports staffing, employee guidance and training, communication across patient care units, and quality assurance and infection control compliance.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and coordinate daily patient care activities to ensure physician orders are fully implemented and patient encounters are documented using the POMR format.
• Schedule staff and patients to ensure complete coverage of patient care and effective patient services.
• Lead, guide, and train employees on related processes and expectations.
• Oversee and provide direct nursing care and consultation to patients.
• Coordinate services with other patient care units and maintain communication with allied services.
• Oversee quality assurance and infection control activities and compliance with operational standards.
