About The Position

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Department at Texas Health Kaufman is a full-time position responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a 23-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. This role involves communicating and collaborating with the healthcare team, valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The hospital, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman, is an 81-bed facility serving multiple communities and is Joint Commission-certified and ANCC Pathway to Excellence recognized. The department offers self-scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, a robust Unit Based Council (UBC), and engaged leadership.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma Nursing is required Or Associate's Degree Nursing is required Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
  • 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. is required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire is required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days is required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required
  • NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required Or ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required
  • TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 Months is required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
  • 2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. is preferred
