About The Position

The Telemetry team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive, team-oriented culture where nurses collaborate closely to provide exceptional cardiac and telemetry care. The 21- Bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses gain valuable experience caring for a diverse patient population while working alongside experienced leaders and a strong interdisciplinary team. The unit is a 21-Bed Unit with a 4:1 Patient Ratio and 12 Hour Shifts. It offers self-scheduling and an every-other-weekend rotation. The unit specializes in Cardiology Procedures and Telemetry Monitoring and cares for Pre & Post Cardiac Cath Patients.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • 2-3 years of Telemetry experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Charge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.
  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
