As a Charge RN at MercyOne, you will Plan coordinates and evaluates the delivery of support services for hospice patients in the home/nursing home/assisted living facility. Assures the provision of safe, effective, culturally competent, family based, holistic care for the terminally ill patients. Provides clinical direction and feedback regarding performance of support staff. Assists supervisor and manager in a variety of tasks, including the following: Budget development, productivity management, new staff orientation, ensuring compliance of staff with identified clinical skill development/competencies/practice guidelines, performance improvement activities, data collection/analysis and operationalizing agency policies and procedures, preparation for compliance with regulatory agencies, identifying program development needs and assisting in implementation. Assumes responsibility in the event of the manager's and hospice supervisor's.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse in Iowa or Illinois required at time of hire, second state required within six months.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance-Genesis minimum limits required.
  • More than 3 years experience required.
  • 4 year college/university degree or equivalent experience
  • Field OF Study: Nursing
  • Basic Life Support

  • The job requires some formal or official supervisory responsibility.
