MercyOne Genesis Hospice provides medical care in addition to providing emotional and spiritual support. As a Charge Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will oversee daily operations and staff assignments for the Hospice House activities across 24 hours. Assures safe, effective, culturally competent, family based, holistic care for the terminally ill patients at the Hospice House. Provides clinical direction and feedback regarding performance of direct patient care staff. Assists manager in a variety of tasks, including the following: Budget development, productivity management, new staff orientation, ensuring compliance of staff with identified clinical skill development/competencies/practice guidelines, performance improvement activities, data collection/analysis and operationalizing agency policies and procedures, preparation for compliance with regulatory agencies, indentifying program development needs and assisting in implementation.

Requirements

  • RN License in Iowa required at time of hire.
  • More than 3 years experience required.
  • BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Hospice and palliative Care nursing Certification preferred
  • 4 year college/university degree or equivalent experience
