About The Position

This position is located at Texas Health Dallas in the NICU unit and operates on a PRN basis with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Texas Health Dallas is an 898-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital serving the community since 1966. The hospital offers a wide range of services including cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women’s services, and emergency medicine. It is recognized as a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an accredited Cycle IV Chest Pain Center, a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Care Center, a Level II Major Trauma facility, and a designated Magnet hospital. Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing required or Associate's Degree Nursing required
  • 1 Year of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required)
  • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
  • NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

  • Demonstrate Patient Rights: Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers; ability to apply these theories to identify, report, deal with and prevent patient rights violations.
