About The Position

Seeking a Charge Nurse for a Weekend Only, Full-Time, Nights (7P-7A) position at WOW Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Sellersburg. This entry-level leadership role is responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department, coordinating care on designated shifts, and providing leadership to staff members in patient care. The Charge Nurse will work alongside the team, provide direct patient care, determine needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, respond to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues, and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads. The department is a hybrid emergency room and urgent care facility that provides both types of care conveniently under one roof, ensuring patients receive the appropriate level of care in a simple, cost-effective one-stop location. The emergency room operates 24/7 with transport services available for high-acuity emergency situations needing surgery. Nurses at this location will have a background or training in emergency care. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available.

Requirements

• Graduate of approved nursing program.
• Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• PALS required within 12 months of hire.
• ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire.
• One year of nursing experience required.
