About The Position

Alliance Spine & Pain, a leading interventional pain management practice with a significant presence across northern Georgia, is seeking a dynamic Charge Nurse for its ambulatory surgery center in Covington. This role is crucial for a team that aims to set the standard in patient care. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to provide uncompromising care as a circulator, pre-operative, or post-operative nurse in a fast-paced, JCAHO-certified environment. Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing as a registered or licensed practical nurse with the state of Georgia.
  • Demonstrate proper skill set to deliver uncompromising care as a circulator, pre-operative or post-operative nurse.
  • Current GA State RN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Other required training.
  • Knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies required to perform specific responsibilities.
  • Leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and/or revise standard operating procedures in all aspects of center’s operations.
  • Inform staff regarding important issues pertaining to center’s regulatory performance standards.
  • Direct day-to-day operations.
  • Develop procedures to maximize productivity.
  • Establish the need to replace existing or purchase additional medical equipment.
  • Work with the administrator to recruit nurses, surgical technicians, and medical assistants to fill vacancies and/or demand.
  • Orient and train new employees.
  • Direct and monitor workloads according to schedule.
  • Assist with employee’s annual evaluation.
  • Mediate conflict resolution among staff.
  • Assure stock inventory is maintained.
  • Resolve patient complaints/direct to appropriate authority.
  • Perform as staff nurse when scheduled.
  • Collect information, process, and evaluate information and/or make recommendations relative to factors that affect patient demand.
  • Assist administrator with staff meetings, quality assurance system, infection control, keeping SDS book up to date and available to all employees, in-services, implementing new policies, and training on new equipment.
  • Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures by all employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
