About The Position

The Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a 60-bed long-term care facility committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Charge Nurse. This position will serve in the role of Charge Nurse and supervise professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care. This position would be considered 3rd shift. Applicants should have an active, unrestricted status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint-supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment.

Requirements

Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
Incumbents work with patients, clients, or employees who may have been exposed to infectious diseases which may require the following of safety procedures.
