Charge Nurse (RN) Full Time Days
About The Position
AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. This role supervises patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs. The Charge Nurse communicates with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This position is responsible for fostering a positive milieu in the hospital and keeping CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place the facility at risk. Direct patient care is provided as required based on staffing and patient acuity. Shift Differentials are paid for all Weekend Shifts!
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication.
- Detailed computer knowledge.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
Nice To Haves
- ICU/Step-down experience.
- Acute care experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing.
- Additional languages desirable.
Responsibilities
