About The Position

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Chandler, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Dignity Health, is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for their Acute Rehabilitation unit. This role is crucial in leading and supporting nursing staff to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care. Requirements

Current state RN license.
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
Minimum of two years in a rehabilitative or acute care setting.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
Child and Adult Abuse Certification required.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

Leading and supporting nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compliant patient care.
Providing clinical mentorship and oversight of documentation.
Coordinating staff assignments based on patient needs.
Administering medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
Minimizing potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
Assisting the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
Identifying and implementing appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
Performing timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
Delivering care based on patient response to treatment and updating the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
Assessing and reassessing pain, using appropriate pain management techniques, and educating patients and families.
Performing all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
Developing and implementing individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
Performing other duties as assigned.
