Requirements

Must have graduated from a nursing program.
One (1) Year of OR nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
Current License in the state of Georgia as a registered nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS and ACLS Certification is required. Must obtain certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Demonstrated clinical competency.

Nice To Haves

Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and oversight of a 13-operating-room department during the evening shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.
Manages staffing assignments, coordinates case flow and room utilization.
Oversees add-on and emergency surgeries.
Facilitates communication among surgeons, anesthesia, PACU, Sterile Processing, and nursing staff.
Addresses operational issues that arise throughout the shift.
Serves as a clinical resource for staff.
Promotes patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Monitors throughput and turnover times.
Manages resource availability.
Ensures continuity of operations while supporting staff development and maintaining a positive team environment.
