About The Position

Join Piedmont Henry Hospital as we continue to grow! We are a 24-bed Medical/Surgical fast-paced, high acuity Intensive Care Unit staffed with Critical Care Intensivists/APPs 24/7. Our staff mix includes Registered Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Patient Care Technicians. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:2/1:3. The ICU is equipped to handle complex cases including Sepsis and Multi-System Organ failure management, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) for post-cardiac arrest, and advanced invasive & non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring. We also utilize technologies such as EKOS Ultrasound Accelerated Thrombolysis, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Impella, and manage patients requiring vasopressor and continuous paralytic titration, BIS monitor/TOF monitor, pacemakers, complex respiratory failure, post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention care, acute stroke care with Alteplase management, various types of shock management, and neurosurgical patients including care of external ventricular devices and patients with ARDS requiring manual prone therapy.

Requirements

Graduate of a nursing program.
One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required.
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
Demonstrated clinical competency.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift.
Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
