About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Zachary is seeking a Full-Time Charge Nurse/Clinical Supervisor (RN) for Night Shifts. This role requires ICU, 2 years of LTAC or Step-down experience. The Charge Nurse supervises patient care activities, communicates with physicians and staff about patient conditions, and responds to changes in patient status. The position is responsible for fostering a positive hospital environment and keeping leadership informed of potential risks. Direct patient care is provided as needed based on staffing and patient acuity. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure unencumbered.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Detailed computer knowledge.
Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
ICU, 2 years LTAC or Step-down experience for Night Shifts.

Nice To Haves

Acute care, med-surg, critical care or ICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.
Communicates with Physicians/CCO/staff, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Fosters a positive milieu in the hospital.
Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
