About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking an Industrialization Project Manager to join our Pre-FAL Industrialization team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work within the Operational Excellence team. You will be part of the PreFAL Industrialization team responsible for supporting ramp-ups and reducing costs for Pre-FAL Mirabel. You will contribute to achieving Airbus Canada's priority objectives and will be surrounded by passionate and experienced people. The team organization is established to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Industrialization project manager will be to contribute to defining the A220 industrial strategy, to deploy improvement projects identified as critical as well as to support product development activities in order to identify and limit their impact on the manufacturing plan.

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or operations management (or equivalent experience)
  • You have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in implementing industrial projects
  • You have a strong command of critical path concepts
  • You demonstrate project management skills
  • You show a high level of leadership and diplomacy
  • You are autonomous, organized, and skilled at prioritizing tasks
  • You are an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing, in French and English
  • You can thrive in an environment subject to frequent changes
  • You are proactive in defining your own goals

Responsibilities

  • Define the evolution of our assembly lines and identify critical paths to optimize in order to meet projected ramp-ups
  • Act as a project manager in the execution of industrial transformations
  • Define the execution strategy: scope, resources, timeline, costs, risks, quality management, communication, and training
  • Plan activities and coordinate the work of assigned resources, act as an interface between stakeholders, manage client expectations as well as change requests
  • Manage budgets and expenses
  • Prepare and present progress updates to the management committee
  • Develop a broad understanding of the risks and opportunities for the company related to proposed industrial changes
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, whether related to technical or non-technical projects
  • Act as a change leader
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate cross-functional workshops related to establishing and maintaining the best assembly strategy
