About The Position

Hospice Chaplain – Crown Hospice – “Where every life is honored, every moment matters.” (Seeking part time Chaplain in Fayette County and Karnes County) At Crown Hospice, we believe spiritual care is at the heart of hospice care. As a Chaplain on our compassionate team, you’ll walk alongside patients and families during one of life’s most sacred journeys — offering comfort, peace, and hope when they need it most.

Requirements

• A compassionate listener and steady presence for those facing loss or transition.
• A graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (MDiv, BD, or related degree preferred).
• Experience supporting individuals and families through grief, death, and dying.
• Comfort working in an interfaith environment that honors diverse beliefs and traditions.
• A team-oriented professional who embodies empathy, respect, and integrity.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — is cared for.
• Offer prayers, counseling, and spiritual guidance in alignment with each patient’s beliefs and values.
• Coordinate with local clergy, faith leaders, and volunteers to ensure spiritual needs are met.
• Lead or assist with memorial and celebration of life services.
