About The Position

The Chaplain works at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital. The role is full-time at 100% FTE, with a day-shift schedule listed as 9:00–6:30 p.m. and 8-hour shifts. The position requires a master's degree in a related field of ministry, licensure or ordination in good standing with the employee's faith tradition, and completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education within one year of hire. No minimum work experience is required. Four units of hospital-based Clinical Pastoral Education, pastoral ministry experience, hospital or other care-facility chaplain experience, and relevant professional association membership or certification are preferred. Requirements

Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Religious Studies, Pastoral Counseling, or a related field of ministry from a school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Must complete at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education within one year of hire.
Licensed or ordained chaplain, and in good standing with their faith tradition.

Nice To Haves

Completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education in a hospital setting.
Five years of pastoral ministry in a church setting.
Three years of pastoral care as a chaplain in a hospital, hospice, or other care facility.
Membership in, or eligibility for membership in, the Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains.
APC Board Certification.
