Tyson Chaplains provide compassionate, spiritual care that explores Team Members’ diverse beliefs, honors their experiences, and empowers them with meaningful resources for their personal lives and careers. This role involves providing a consistent physical presence and compassionate care throughout assigned facilities, adhering to and modeling safety protocols specific to each work environment. A significant portion of the workday is dedicated to actively engaging with Team Members across various work areas and break locations. The Chaplain offers spiritual and emotional guidance, counsel, and support to Team Members and their immediate families, maintaining a judgment-free and inclusive presence. They respond to critical incidents, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with HR and the chaplain services team to offer educational and social service opportunities. Responsibilities also include making hospital and home visits, providing presence at memorials, cultivating community partnerships, writing articles or giving presentations, and serving as an advisor to management on matters of religion, morals, ethics, and Team Member morale. The role requires maintaining impeccable moral and ethical character to protect the reputational integrity of the company and the chaplaincy program, along with keeping accurate records and writing required reports.
