About The Position

Chaplains are frontline staff who fulfill the mission and Christian ministry of MCHAP by using their gifts and talents to serve company employees and their immediate families. They serve as messengers of faith, mission, and purpose, and interact with companies, employees, and the community in a manner that reflects personal and spiritual discipline. Chaplains regularly visit company worksites, usually weekly, to build trusting relationships with employees. They may visit employees and immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, family residences, jails, or other locations where care and assistance can be provided. They may offer confidential pastoral discussions, referrals, grief support, assistance related to serious illness or family matters, and other appropriate ministry services. They also participate in new employee orientations and may provide literature and resources for employees dealing with life issues. Assigned hours are generally consistent from week to week, but there are no guaranteed minimum hours. Position needs vary according to chaplain availability and client requirements. This is a remote, field-based position, with the work environment dependent on client worksites.
