About The Position

Chaplains provide spiritual care to patients, families, and caregivers, fostering spiritual resources for healing. The role involves supporting people through difficult circumstances and providing care to patients of all faith groups, ages, and conditions. The position is at Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland and works nights from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with regular and on-call hours.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of at least four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE); alternatively, a bachelor's degree, three years of ministry experience, and satisfactory completion of one or two CPE units, with the expectation of completing four CPE units within two years of hire.
• Credentialing, certification, or eligibility within two years through a certifying organization, or certification as an Association of Clinical Pastor Education (ACPE) educator.
• One year of ministry experience.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, pull, push, and facilitate patient movement.
• Normal or correctable vision and hearing sufficient to hear normal conversations.
• Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent.
