This position plans and coordinates spiritual services for United Hospice families and patients. The Chaplain assesses spiritual needs, provides spiritual support, and offers consultation and education to the hospice team, healthcare centers, and the community. They also perform sacerdotal functions, assist with volunteer training, serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Group, provide on-call coverage, act as a liaison to community clergy, and offer grief and bereavement counseling. The role requires adherence to company policies, mission, vision, and philosophy, maintaining confidentiality, honesty, and integrity, and responding productively to change. The employee must be able to perform job duties without posing a risk of harm to themselves or others and coordinate patient care responsibilities with the Director of Health Services and other team members.
