About The Position

This is a part-time internship position for a Chaplain Intern at Texas Health Fort Worth. The role involves providing spiritual and emotional support to patients and staff, documenting care, and adhering to HIPAA regulations. The intern will work 16 hours per week on rotating shifts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree in Divinity or equivalent from a CHEA-accredited theological school in progress required.
• Demonstrates good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work with and relate to people of all faiths, cultures, nationalities, identities and differences.
• Ability to offer non-anxious presence and work with people in times of crisis and loss, providing compassionate care.

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year Experience in ministry setting with some supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide religious/spiritual rituals when requested by patients or staff.
• Ask area clergy to provide special and appropriate needs when necessary.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Make appropriate referrals to staff.
• Work effectively with HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
