The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting multiple large accounts, such as Big Box Retailers, Distributors, and/or lumberyards, which would be more accounts than a typical Manager role. This role is also responsible for approximately twice the company revenue compared with a standard manager role. The Manager must bring strong relationships with Accounts, networking with a variety of stakeholders, and displaying frontline sales skills, as well as cross-functional collaborative working. The Manager represents and acts for some of GAF's most important customers from a marketing perspective. Success requires communicating customer needs, developing programs that address these needs by drawing on expertise from across the marketing function and beyond, acting as a thought partner with a variety of marketing disciplines. The Manager must also look outwards, keeping abreast of trends in the industry, including digital advancements throughout the customer experience. Hence, as well as executing on requests, the Channel Marketing Manager should have the ability to conceive and advocate for their own ideas and suggestions. Given the breadth of activities, the role requires management of many different products and timelines, requiring strong project management. The role also requires significant interface with senior GAF management and customer management, requiring good upward management skills and communication ability.
