Changeover Crew| Part-Time | Cross Insurance Arena
About The Position
The operations Changeover Crew will assist in event setup activities and operations for the facility and provide responsible staff assistance to the Director of Operations. The Cross Insurance Arena Operations Department is seeking motivated individuals to join our team for the upcoming events season. We are hiring multiple positions for our Operations Changeover Crew. This is a great entry-level position for anyone looking to break into the sports and entertainment industry. As part of the Operations Department, you will assist in the arena conversion from ice hockey to multi-purpose use for concerts, trade shows, comedy acts, monster trucks, Disney on Ice, etc. This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 - $20.00.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and leaders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards / requirements.
- Must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work long hours, including a varied schedule of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects frequently.
Nice To Haves
- Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform ice maintenance, including maintaining depth and quality.
- Ice sheet installation/removal—ice in, paint, logos/decals, tempering, flooding, leveling.
- Perform day-to-day building operations, maintenance, and special projects.
- Work with the Operations Department and Bull Crew to convert the arena from a hockey rink to a concert/tradeshow/conference.
- Assist event production/management with show requests.
- Maintains departmental equipment and notifies the Operations Manager when repairs are needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
- Work safely and be aware of proper safety guidelines.
- Snow removal using the company snowplow truck.
- Lanscaping duties as assigned.
- Exterior trash cleanup from city debris.
