Change Management / Trend Engineer

Pathfinder L L C•Houston, TX
•$75,000 - $175,000

About The Position

The Change Management / Trend Engineer proactively identifies, evaluates, tracks and manages changes and emerging cost and schedule trends on a data center construction program before they become major financial or schedule exposures. The work takes place in a fast-paced construction environment with rapidly evolving designs, changing scopes, multiple contractors, aggressive schedules and significant capital commitments. The role brings structure and discipline to change management without slowing construction execution and provides project leadership with early visibility of exposure so decisions can be made quickly. The role manages the change lifecycle from trend notification and evaluation through approval, change order execution, and incorporation into budgets and forecasts. It maintains change and trend registers; evaluates financial and schedule impacts; reviews contractor requests and supporting documentation; and coordinates with project controls, commercial, construction and technical stakeholders. The position provides preliminary assessments as information develops and challenges unsupported requests while working to resolve changes productively. The role does not assume contractual approval authority.
