About The Position

The Change Implementation Engineer role at Anduril involves defining, building, and commissioning a digital engineering thread to support hardware engineering, product scaling, and product traceability. This role is crucial for managing a dynamic design and engineering environment and offers a career path in program or configuration management. The engineer will partner with product and program teams to implement change notices, prepare analyses for change requests, and identify continuous improvement opportunities. They will also play a key role in developing processes and tooling to bridge design engineering and manufacturing, and contribute to defining the future of digital engineering at Anduril by setting requirements, building an end-to-end digital thread, and piloting AI capabilities for configuration management. Additionally, the role involves supporting critical configuration management activities and forums, facilitating approved changes with downstream teams, and conducting periodic product configuration record audits. The engineer will also serve as an expert resource for product teams on engineering release and change management processes, utilizing Teamcenter software and providing guidance on BOM configuration and data sets.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience of configuration management in the aerospace, automotive, defense or technology industries.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and practices.
  • Experience with CAD and PLM packages.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for aerospace systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify, root-cause, and propose resolutions to, critical product definition data set (EBOMs, MBOMs) inconsistencies.
  • Ability to translate written documents and recommendations to organization change and business impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, managing time effectively.
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
  • Willingness to travel to satellite Anduril sites (less than 25%).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Teamcenter is an advantage.
  • Proficient in technical writing for processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Teamcenter Requirements, Teamcenter Quality, Confluence & JIRA.
  • Certification in CM2 or equivalent configuration management certification.
  • Security clearance (S, TS).

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and implementation of change notices across system engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain domains.
  • Prepare critical analyses to support the execution of change requests while maintaining configuration integrity and traceability.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities by building data-driven perspectives of the full product configuration landscape.
  • Take a leading role in the development of process and tooling to bridge between Design Engineering and Manufacturing as it pertains to change implementation.
  • Partner with engineering teams to set requirements and identify improvement opportunities in existing ways of working.
  • Build an end-to-end digital thread that maintains an accurate product definition, system by system, from the definition of requirements to the as-maintained record.
  • Identify and pilot opportunities to leverage Anduril’s AI capabilities and tools to unlock increased speed, accuracy, and efficiency within Anduril’s configuration management activities.
  • Support configuration managers in managing critical program technical forums (e.g., Test Review Board, Change Review Board).
  • Work with program teams to prepare for critical technical forums, including preparing business cases, test data, effectivity plans, and inventory disposition plans.
  • Document and distribute conclusions and decisions emerging from configuration management forums.
  • Lead the confirmation and facilitation of approved changes with downstream teams (Supply Chain & Manufacturing).
  • Support configuration management reviews and audits, including FCA/PCA, and provide direction before, during, and after the events to prevent or resolve issues.
  • Reconcile released bills of materials against baseline bills of materials by confirming all variances have signed-off change notices.
  • Reconcile product as-built-records against released bills of materials by confirming all variances have quality deviations.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve non-conformances; find and resolve root-causing failure modes.
  • Use Teamcenter software to manage Engineering changes, including part revisions, EBOM/MBOM/SBOM updates, documentation modifications, and associated workflows.
  • Provide guidance and support to Engineering teams in configuring the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service Bills of Materials (EBOM, MBOM, SBOM).
  • Support Configuration Managers and Engineers in defining and maintaining configurable product data sets (e.g., 150% BOMs, product variant dictionaries and schema).
  • Act as a Teamcenter super-user and train product team users on workflows.
