This position supports and implements the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of The Maples. The Change Agent demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned tasks within The Maples program. They assist clinicians with patient care tasks and therapists with therapeutic interventions. The role involves maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring and complying with program rules and policies. The Change Agent observes patients, documents findings, and reports significant behaviors to the shift nurse. They also conduct safety rounds, assist in managing escalating patient behavior, and document client activities and observations as assigned. Additionally, the role includes assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, toileting, and eating. The Change Agent is expected to display flexibility, identify opportunities for improvement, and model productive, healthy behavior. They must perform their job with efficiency, organize and prioritize work, deal constructively with stress, and offer and accept feedback. Punctuality, adherence to attendance and dress code policies, and a warm, empathic attitude are essential. The role requires respect for the dignity of others, a high sense of personal integrity, and the performance of other duties and special projects as required.
