About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Two years of progressively responsible, fully qualified work experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
  • Copies of your most recent (2) performance evaluations, if available.
  • A list of two or three professional references who have had supervisory authority over you along with their email addresses and daytime contact phone numbers.
  • Certification that you have a legal right to accept employment in the United States.
  • Work experience not already documented in your application must include the employer’s name, your job title, dates of employment and whether full or part-time.
  • If post-secondary education is required to meet the Minimum Qualifications, you must fill in the Education and Training section of the application. If you have not obtained a degree, please indicate the number of credit hours earned in the Degree Obtained field.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, organizing, and distributing judicial correspondence, orders, judgments, and other court documents.
  • Managing the judge's calendar, meetings, travel, and appointments.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for telephone calls and visitors with professionalism and discretion.
  • Preparing and tracking required judicial reports, including pay affidavits, leave reports, and pending decision listings.
  • Serving as the case management clerk for all children's and probate cases, opening new cases, scheduling hearings, processing pleadings and court orders, monitoring case files for accuracy and timeliness, and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Assisting with training law clerks on case management systems and motion tracking.
  • Providing technical support to judicial officers.
  • Supporting the Clerk of Court as assigned.
