Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Chair and Professor for the College of Education (COE), specifically to lead the department of Curriculum and Instruction. The Chair serves as a senior faculty member and administrator, responsible for faculty recruitment and development, curriculum and instructional program development and quality enhancement, coordination of research and service programs, personnel evaluation, and representing the department within and beyond the university. This role involves maintaining relationships with students, administrators, university councils, alumni, professional organizations, and public/private groups. The Chair collaborates with the COE dean on budget requests, manages the department's course schedule for over 15 undergraduate and graduate programs, administers allocated funds, works with program coordinators and committees, evaluates faculty and staff, and manages departmental resources. As a member of the COE's leadership team, the Chair facilitates effective relationships within and across department programs and collaborates with the dean and other leaders to guide the COE's work.
