About The Position

This role is for a licensed nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist, or LPN, ideally located in the Fairfax, VA area, who will travel to facility locations across multiple cities. Day travel and some overnights may be required, including early morning wound rounds based on facility schedules. Periodic corporate training (at least annually) may involve flight travel and hotel stays, with arrangements and payment handled through Gentell's travel management system and incidental expenses reimbursed. Gentell is committed to the health and safety of its employees and customers, requiring self-monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms, adherence to CDC and CMS guidelines, providing full PPE for facility visits, and offering telehealth tools for remote servicing.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid healthcare license (RN, LPN, PT, OTR-L, DPM or similar)
  • Must have exemplary customer service skills
  • Must be business savvy, sales-minded
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently
  • Must be hard-working and motivated
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Must live in the area designated and be willing to travel on a daily basis

Responsibilities

  • Working with long-term care facilities in a designated territory to assist with wound assessments and treatment decisions
  • Monitoring proper application and utilization of wound care products
  • Understanding Medicare documentation and reimbursement guidelines
  • Educating facility staff on documentation that meets federal and state requirements
  • Ordering wound care products through our internal system “FastCare” for the residents to receive their products
  • Supporting facilities wound care programs by assisting with tracking, documentation, and understanding of the wound care products coverage guidelines
