About The Position

WHSN offers exclusive per diem and contract staffing opportunities at 23 Critical Access Hospitals throughout the state. Seeking an experienced Certified Wound Nurse to provide advanced wound care for inpatient and outpatient populations. This role focuses on assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and staff education to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • Certification in Wound and Ostomy Care (CWOCN or equivalent)
  • Active Washington State RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing complex wound care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform wound assessments, treatment planning, and documentation
  • Coordinate care with providers, nurses, and care teams
  • Monitor healing progress and adjust care plans
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care and prevention
  • Respond to wound consults and support outpatient services
