About The Position
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team. This role will be based from either our Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC location. The primary responsibilities involve conducting structural building inspections and performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) tests on various materials including masonry, reinforced concrete, and structural steel.
Requirements
- Current AWS CWI certification.
- Structural or Bridge experience.
Nice To Haves
- NDT Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Shearwave certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements.
- Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure project requirements are met.
- Perform field testing and inspections.
- Review plans and specifications and perform inspections accordingly.
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Input results and observations into daily reports.
