About The Position

Bedford Veterinary Medical Center is a state of the art, multi-doctor hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Southern New Hampshire area. We practice the highest quality medicine while providing our pets and clients with the utmost care and compassion. Our hospital offers many services including annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in-house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care, and acupuncture. Our team is looking to add an experienced CVT that is committed to providing the best possible care for all pets! Applicants should understand that shifts will be expected to be covered both at this location as well as at our sister hospital located at 288 Lowell Rd, Hudson, NH 03051. Our hours of operation are: Monday – Friday: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Requirements

A Certified Veterinary Technician with an active license required
Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
Availability to work some weekends
Excellent client communication and medical record management skills
Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture
Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards

Nice To Haves

1+ year professional experience preferred but not required
additional skills in dental radiography being a plus
