About The Position

Park Grove Pet Hospital is hiring a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role involves supporting veterinarians with clinical procedures, communicating with clients, and helping maintain a safe and organized hospital environment. The position is scheduled four days per week in 10-hour shifts, from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a designated day off and no weekend hours. The hourly salary is $23.00–$29.00, based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Park Grove Pet Hospital is AAHA-accredited and has served Cottage Grove, Woodbury, Hastings, and the greater St. Paul area since 1972. Requirements

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification is required.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures is sought.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
