About The Position

Park Grove Pet Hospital is hiring a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and other technical duties. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a designated day off and no weekend hours. Compensation is $23.00–$29.00 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Park Grove Pet Hospital is AAHA-accredited and has served Cottage Grove, Woodbury, Hastings, and the greater St. Paul area since 1972. Requirements

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification is required.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and patient-status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
