About The Position
Bowdon Animal Hospital is actively seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join their team in Bowdon, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working up rooms, embrace client education, feel confident working beside other team members and veterinarians. They should have the confidence to talk to clients and go over plans of treatments and medications prescribed by the veterinarians. This team member will be an efficient and effective multi-tasker, neat and organized, speak and carry themselves in a professional manner, and be aware of their time and responsibilities. Requirements
- Certified Veterinary Technician with active license in Georgia
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to place IV catheters
- Draw blood and run in-house lab equipment
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
