About The Position

Mount Dora Veterinary Hospital is a full service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. We regularly see dogs, cats, birds, and other exotic animals. Our medical care team has years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. Beyond first-rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and calm, so that pets can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting their care team! We believe that it is through communicating with pet parents that we can best work together to give all pets the best medical care possible. Pets are an important part of all our lives, and we want nothing more than to ensure that they remain happy and healthy with their families for a long, long time. We are looking to add an experienced veterinary technician to our amazing medical care team. Requirements

A Certified Veterinary Technician with an active license required
Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts
Availability to work some Saturdays
Excellent client communication and medical record management skills
Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations
Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens
Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plus
Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring
Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and unwavering commitment to animal welfare in a dynamic veterinary setting.

Nice To Haves

1+ year professional experience preferred but not required
additional skills in dental radiography being a plus
